and the Seaside Storm

Henry and his weather detective uncle, Kelvin McCloud, tackle their first big case. A wealthy banker died in a hailstorm, but it doesn’t look very much like an accident. They might just find more than hailstones on this case!

Non-fiction about astounding journeys and places

Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage

by Alfred Lansing

Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage tells the story of Irish explorer Ernest Shackleton and his crew who, after their ship became stuck in the sea ice near Antarctica in 1915, had to travel across ice and ocean in an attempt to reach safety.

This book is not specifically about the weather, but does provide an amazing non-fiction story of braving extreme climate in the southern reaches of the world.
